Our nearest beach with 3 miles of beautiful golden sands. A haven for surfers, kite surfers, windsurfers, and SUP (stand up paddle boarding) It is also a very accessible family friendly beach, backed by the beautiful dunes of the Braunton Burrows. Plenty of parking, and delicious icecreams!
A favourite with us, Putsborough is a great beach for surfing and day out with the family. You can walk around the headland on the coastal path to Croyde enjoying the stunning views, or just simply hang out on the beach and soak up the sun.
A smaller beach but equally as beautiful as the others, Croyde is world famous as a first class surf break. The golden sandy beach is a short walk from the pretty village, and has lots of amenities, surf shops and surf schools. There is parking ideally located right next to the beach, and a local bus service stops regularly in the village throughout the day.
Woolacombe is a popular choice with families but can get busy at peak times. A good spot to learn to surf and there’s plenty of local amenities as soon as you walk off the beach. It’s situated the opposite end of the beach to Putsborough.
